SENIOR WOMEN'S RUGBY
The Meraloma Senior Women’s Rugby program is proud to compete in the BC Rugby Union Premier League, First Division and Second Division.
The 2024/25 Women’s Division 1 team remained undefeated for the entirety of the season bringing the club a Provincial Championship! Their success was followed by a promotion to the BC Rugby Premier League for the 2025/26 season, while also attracting new talent to continue to field a Division 1 and 2 team. The Meraloma club is dedicated to the development and success of the women’s teams and invites new members with any level of skill from beginner to expert to join our team.

COACHING STAFF

Premier Head Coach: Jocelyn "Gangles" Muller
Somewhere in the Australian Outback

Legend has it she was raised in the forest by wolves until the tender age of 32. There is then a gap in historical records pertaining to her whereabouts but somehow ended up with the Meraloma Club.
Premier Forwards Coach: Aaron O'Flaherty
Galway, Ireland

Aaron grew up in Galway, Ireland, and made the leap to Vancouver in 2016 to dive
head-first into the world of coaching. He’s had the pleasure of working with Connacht
Rugby, Galwegians RFC, and BC Rugby—proof that he’s spent a lot of time in the rain
on both sides of the Atlantic. He’s World Rugby Level 3 certified and holds a degree in
Strength and Conditioning.
His coaching style is simple: nail the basics, keep it fun, and make sure players love
showing up. Off the field, Aaron stays busy running marathons and competing in Hyrox
events —because apparently a normal jog just isn’t challenging enough.
Division 1 Head Coach: Alan Ouya
Somewhere in the Australian Outback

Alan is the head coach of the Meraloma Division 1 team. He focuses on strong fundamentals, clear communication and helping players build confidence and decision-making under pressure. Alan’s goal is to ensure every player feels supported, challenged and excited to compete for the Meraloma Club.
He represented Canada at the Touch World Cup and competed at both the USA and Canadian Touch Nationals in the 2024/25 season. Outside of Rugby, Alan works in sustainability and ESG analysis.
